Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise, an American writer and actress popular for her portrayal of Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island in 1960s. Her stage experience began in the 1950s with Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. She continued to perform in various Broadway shows before going big on the national theatre scene with Li'l Abner's in 1957. In 1957, she also launched her first album of music called It's time for Tina. Her first appearance in Hollywood was when she played Griselda as Griselda in the film God's Small Acre, which was a 1958 romantic drama. The film received widespread praise. Louise won the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the year category. Louise enrolled in Actors Studio, New York during that time, becoming Lee Strasberg's teacher. The next role she starred in was with the year 1964, when she joined CBS for the role of Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise was able to balance her work from Broadway television and Hollywood playing more serious characters as opposed to the image of a glamour girl. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. As SG-1, and as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although over the past few years, she has also made an impact as a highly successful director of many well-known shows on television including Supernatural or The 100. Born in Essex in Ontario on 27th August, 1965 her family relocated to Toronto in the age group of three. She spent the majority of her youth in Toronto and then her adolescence. After being chosen in 1997 for the role of Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has been living there since then.
