Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw also known by her stage name Elizabeth Alice MacGraw has been as a performer, model as well as an animal rights activist in the US. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway 72 are among her most acclaimed films. Her desire to be an artist was inspired from her childhood in the New York family of artists. The first job she had was an assistant to photographers. After that, she switched to acting and modeling. Her first two movies her name was acknowledged as a winner of an award called the Golden Globe Award as Most promising young actress. MacGraw became an international star after her 1970 movie Love Story, which earned an Academy Award nomination as well as an award from the Golden Globe. With just three releases MacGraw was named the top female debut at the box office in the world. In Grauman's Chinese Theater, in 1972, she was able to have her handprints and signature engraved. Other credits include The Getaway Convoy Players, television miniseries The Winds of War and other. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography of hers, was published. MacGraw has been married three times.
